What to include in a tool report
- Tool name and page address. Name the affected tool and copy its route without adding your input to the URL.
- Browser and version. For example, Firefox 128 or Safari 18.
- Device type. Desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet, plus the operating system when useful.
- Reproduction steps. Describe the controls and options selected using generic or invented sample data.
- Error code. Include the stable code shown by the tool, if one appears.
- Example check. Say whether the built-in example fails in the same way.
A minimal invented sample is safer than your real content. Before sending, confirm that the example cannot identify a person, organization, customer, system, or confidential project.
Other useful subjects
- AccessibilityInclude the page, browser, assistive technology, intended task, and barrier. See the accessibility statement.
- PrivacyDescribe the architecture or policy question without copying tool content. See the privacy policy.
- Incorrect outputUse small, synthetic input and explain the expected result, actual result, selected options, and browser.
- Content correctionLink to the exact page and quote only the public AHEBO wording that should be reviewed.
What not to send
- customer, employee, student, patient, financial, legal, or account records;
- passwords, tokens, private keys, connection strings, or unpublished source code;
- real email lists, CSV exports, logs, documents, comparisons, or encoded binary data;
- screenshots that reveal sensitive browser tabs, filenames, notifications, or account details; or
- a public link that grants access to confidential material.
Before reporting a problem
Try the tool’s built-in example, confirm the input is within the stated file-size and format limits, and retry in a current supported browser. If browser clipboard permission fails, select the output and copy it manually. If local preferences appear incorrect, open Settings and clear local settings.
Do not clear your actual input as a diagnostic step unless you have another copy. Tool errors are designed to preserve it.
