Measures in the shared interface
- Keyboard operationNavigation, search, settings, tool controls, copy, download, and local file selection use ordinary focusable controls.
- Visible focusA high-contrast focus indicator appears for keyboard focus, with a logical document and tab order.
- Page structureSkip links, landmarks, headings, labels, fieldsets, breadcrumbs, lists, and footer navigation provide semantic structure.
- Status feedbackProcessing, success, warning, cancellation, and error messages are exposed as visible text and appropriate live regions.
- Responsive targetsPrimary controls provide at least a 44 by 44 CSS-pixel target, and layouts reflow into a single column on small screens.
- User preferencesLight, dark, and system themes are available, with reduced-motion and increased-contrast media settings respected.
Tool-specific behavior
Text and structured-data editors have programmatic labels independent of placeholder text. Errors preserve input and provide a corrective action where possible. Color is not the only indication for comparison changes or status. File drop areas include an ordinary file-picker alternative, and custom ordering controls are expected to provide keyboard operation.
Output actions are disabled when there is no meaningful result, and screen-reader status updates do not interrupt typing. Tables and structured previews can scroll within their region rather than forcing the full page wider.
Compatibility
AHEBO supports current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, including Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS. Results may vary with older browsers, browser extensions, assistive-technology combinations, operating-system settings, and disabled JavaScript.
The static descriptions, instructions, policy content, links, and navigation remain available as HTML. Interactive transforms, instant client search, preferences, clipboard actions, and local downloads require supported browser JavaScript APIs.
Known limitations
- Native file-picker wording, focus behavior, and announcements are controlled by the browser and operating system and may differ between platforms.
- Very wide data tables and side-by-side comparisons may require horizontal scrolling at high zoom; a simpler stacked or unified view should be used when the tool provides one.
- Large previews may be truncated or virtualized to keep the browser responsive, so assistive technologies may not receive every row at once.
- Clipboard features depend on browser permission and secure-context rules. Output remains selectable when automated copy is unavailable.
- Complex browser and assistive-technology combinations continue to require manual review beyond automated accessibility checks.

Review process
The shared shell targets automated checks with axe-core or equivalent, keyboard-only review, responsive zoom, dark theme, reduced motion, high contrast, and representative tool error states. Automated results do not replace manual keyboard, screen-reader, and browser testing.
